### Jesryll's Proportion Post

Part 1:

Ratio- a pair of numbers that compares different kind of units.
eg: 1:2
Rate- compared two quantities measured in different units.
eg: \$1.25 /100g

Proportion- a relationship says that ratio and rate are equal.
eg:

Part 2:
1.)  5 hours to travel 360 kilometers is about _____km/h.

2.) 5 hours to travel 360 kilometers is about _____km/h.

Part 3:
What are the three ways you can prove that equivalent ratio statements are true?
3/4 = 12/16  or 4/9 = 16/32

1.) use equivalent fractions.

2.) vertically.

3.) crossed multiplication.

Part 4:

Find a video about using proportion and embed it in your post.  Make sure you select the small size of the video.

Part 5:

1.) Does this seem fair?
2.)With what you know about proportion look and read what is in the image above.  Does it seem just and fair?
3.)Why have you made this choice?
answer: This isn't fair because the CEO stole 3 million dollars but was only sent in jail for 40 months while the homeless man gets 15 years in prison for just stealing \$100.
4.)What would you have done if you were the judge?answer: if i were the judge i will give the CEO 15 years in jail and the homeless man give for about 1 months in jail because 3 million is way more bigger that \$100.
